Vivo V5 Review: Price, Specs, Pros and Cons

Review of Vivo V5 at a Glance:-

Vivo intensively promoting their Mid range smartphone especially in Indian market, in this series now they have new handset Vivo V5 in line. This handset is marketed with the Name of Selfie phone with 20 MP rear camera with Moonlight flash feature. The key specs of mobile are 5.5 inches HD Display, MediaTek MT6750 octa-core Chipset, 13 MP Primary Rear Camera | 20 MP Secondary front camera, 32 GB Internal Storage, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB SD Card support and 3000 mAh battery.

Special about the Design
Maintaining Thickness of 7.6 mm phone is quite comfortable to hold with one hand, Faux metallic (plastic) built and front display is fused with the 2.5D Glass. On both Software and hardware department it looks like that this phone is inspired from the iPhone for design and interface. The headphones socket, Micro-USB port, and speaker grille are located on the bottom of phone however the left edge of phone houses SIM and SD card Tray.
Display Visual Experience
Even after having 5.5 inches display and mid range pricing, Vivo stay at the 720p HD resolutions with display density of 267ppi, although this display configuration is looking quite average for a Smartphone nowadays but when it comes to picture and text quality reflected from the screen you will not be disappointed as it is pretty good experience to see the videos and photos in phone.

Power Processor
Phone is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek SoC which is clocked at the fill, Company is also offering 4 GB RAM in this handset to enhance the performance and also have their own UI FunTouchOS 2.6 based on Android Marshmallow, running smoother while switching between different apps and general multitasking as well. MediaTek Chipset inside the phone is mediocre so it is not comfortably suitable for the heavy graphical gaming although the non-intensive gaming is quite hassle free.

Camera Clarity
Most of the focus in this smartphone is going to Camera department, As the result this model is loaded with 20 MP camera having Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, we really appreciate the quality of photos taken from the 20MP front camera that is performing outstanding in daytime, however in night the pixel of photos struggle to provide accurate colour balance and saturation, still quite good to use for social media profile. Front camera will make you happy but the Rear Camera is not even close to our expectation, It is taking average quality pictures in Daylight outdoor conditions.

Battery Juice
The HD resolution display and non-intensive Chipset is also responsible for the quite decent battery backup, It has 3000 mAh battery and do not Heat up, which can easily stand for the more than a full day.

Why to buy and Final words about Vivo V5

This phone is purely made for the Selfie-enthusiastic people, apart from 20 MP front camera it has octa-core CPU with 4 GB RAM for performing well in most of the situations, a thin design optimized for single hand performance and long lasting 3000 mAh battery. There are few things about this phone like plastic built, mediocre CPU and very average primary camera which can hurt people to some extent although there is alternate like Oppo F1s, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Gionee S6s.
