OnePlus 5T Review Pros and Cons: Flagship Killer with FullView Display

Review of OnePlus 5T at a Glance:-

OnePlus is popular among the mass for flagship features under the reasonable price, they launch 2 phones every year and 2nd one comes with comparatively slight modification instead of major changes. For 2017 they have launched OnePlus 5T which is successor of OnePlus 5. It is featuring 6.01 inches Optic AMOLED display, Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS, Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 CPU, Dual 16+20 MP Primary | 16 MP secondary camera, 64/128 GB ROM, 6/8 GB RAM, and 3300 mAh battery.

Premium Metallic and Claasy
The design is something which is emitting the premium vibes, The rear side and frame of the device are made entirely out of aluminum. Even after being 6.01 inches phablet, company successfully made it light with 162 grams of weight and 7.3mm thin. On the top, from the rear side antenna strip is running in such a way that gives more pleasant looks. The fingerprint sensor is now shifted to the rear side which is easily accessible for unlocking. On the bottom, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack along with USB Type-C slot and single speaker grille. The power button is located on the right edge while left edge housing volume rocker along with profile changer key.
Sharp and Vibrant FHD+ Screen
In this phone, most of the features are similar to its predecessor OnePlus 5, but the 6.01 inches Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution having 18:9 aspect ratio offers more immersive viewing experience is completely different in this handset. Its Optic AMOLED is manufactured by the Samsung, The vibrant and crisp display is able to provide around 440nits of maximum brightness along with adaptive algorithm which automatically adjusts parameters even in harsh sunlight. We are happy to see the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the screen.

Flagship Chipset for "Flagship Killer"
They have launched it with the best Qualcomm flagship chipset of 2017, the phone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 Octa-core CPU coupled with the 8GB RAM. Its Oxygen v4.7 OS based on the Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) is incredibly clean and free of unwanted pre-installed apps just like Stock Android ( We are Expecting the Oreo out of the box but OP promised to provide OS update in January 2018). The device has strong CPU and Adreno 540 GPU which is capable of rendering the heavy gaming graphics with ease so you will get a good multitasking and gaming experience in Full HD+ display. The overall performance of the phone is equivalent (or even better) to high-end flagship devices like Galaxy Note 8 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro
Dual Camera with Awesome Bokeh Effect
As according to the official site of OP "This phone is equipped with 'Intelligent Pixel Technology' By merging 4 pixels into one when ambient light is lower than 10 lux". but there is hardly any major improvement in the quality of photos than its predecessor OP5. although dual camera setup offers an impressive blurred background effect. 16 MP + 20 MP Primary and surprising both the camera has the f/1.7 aperture. It would be better to have a different aperture size for more effective performance in different lighting condition but unfortunately, it is not the case with this phone. The daylight photographs are quite decent but in comparison to Galaxy S8, it is lagging behind. 16 MP secondary camera is more than satisfactory in performance. The other good thing about its camera is the availability of EIS which helps you to shoot smooth videos. It can record Full HD video with 60fps.

Battery with Dash Charging support
Even after having larger display size OP inserted 3300 mAh battery into the phone. But it is good to see that phone gives backup of 22 hours talktime over the 3G network and also capable of charging 0% to 100% in less than 1 hour with the help of 5V 4A 20W Dash Charger.

Why to buy and Final words about OnePlus 5T:-

This device is another masterpiece by the OnePlus with multiple spectacular features but still, it lacks many expected specs like Water & Dust resistance body, Stereo speaker, and more battery capacity. Design of phone is obviously premium and the screen looks crisp even under direct sunlight conditions. Performance is the top class because of Snapdragon processor and well optimized Oxygen OS. The camera is little compromised although it takes decent pictures as compared to other flagship phones, improvement required. Battery is not huge but still offers a respectable backup. you can choose the alternative of this handset- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, for the better camera, go with Samsung Galaxy S8+ or Galaxy Note 8
