BlackBerry Keyone Review Pros & Cons: Unique Design for Productivity

Review of BlackBerry Keyone at a Glance:-

There was a time when blackberry was so popular especially among business class, but Android & iOS destroyed its kingdom, BlackBerry trying to restore its lost legacy by opting most popular OS "Android" for their Smartphone. This phone is productivity focussed with multiple Advantages and Disadvantages. The key specs it is offering are 4.5 inches FHD Display, Android v7.1 Nougat OS, Snapdragon 625 processor, 12 MP Primary | 8 MP Secondary camera, 32 GB Internal | 2 TB SD Card support, 3 GB RAM and 3505 mAh battery.

An Unique Design
Talking about the design of this handset definitely, it is very different from the available phones in the market. the physical QWERTY keypad below the display is a unique addition. With 2.5D Curved glass, metallic built frame and rubbery Soft textured back panel cover to make it nonslippery from the hands. Metal, Glass, and rubber everything is used to make a perfect combination but we discuss below in details that is it really a perfect smartphone? The Right edge has Volume rockers, Card tray slot and a customizable Convenience key below the volumes keys. Left edge housing power key and bottom has a reversible USB Type-C Slot and surprisingly loud Stereo Speakers.
Clean Display but Little Odd for Videos
The phone has 4.5 inches Full HD Display with an odd 1620x1080p resolution & 3:2 aspect ratio which I think is not a good option to watch videos, However, This IPS LCD with 433ppi display density is sharp and vibrant enough for the graphics running over the phone. The QWERTY keypad also helping in launching the apps very quickly for example, you can assign the key for different apps for example long press on letters like “b” to launch the browser and “w” to open the WhatsApp, and they work quite smoothly. Its display is also scratch resistant which is covered with the Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

12 MP Camera with 4K Recordings
Handset offering 12 MP module for the primary camera having Sony IMX378 Sensor which can take a well-formed picture in outdoor daylight condition, photos captured in outdoor lighting looks crisp and it is also able to record movies in 4K Resolutions. There is a good addition that the spacebar can be used as the shutter button. The low-lit photographs look little grainy and with the decrement in lit, noise start appearing, Its 12 MP rear Camera is quite fast for locking the frame but it's not equally fast in insufficient lit conditions where we are missing OIS. This brand should learn to make a low light camera phone from the handset like Galaxy S7 or Google Pixel. The front 8 MP Selfie camera is also good when you use it in well-lit conditions.

Balaced performance
TCL decided to go with a balanced mediocre chipset for BlackBerry Keyone instead of a flagship, it is configured with Snapdragon 625 with 2.0 GHz Octa-core processor, while using the phone for different tasks or jumping from one app to another app everything is smooth and stutter free. this 64-bit chipset is coupled with 3 GB RAM is good for day to day productive works but neither its design nor configuration is suitable for high-end graphic intensive games. BlackBerry handset comes up with most trusted mobile security software like DTEK security monitoring app.

A Good Backup
The first time BlackBerry is offering such a huge 3505 mAh battery for their smartphone. It also supports Quick Charge capability which according to claim of the company capable to 50% charge phone in 36 minutes. This battery can stand easily for one full day even after heavy uses.
