Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) Review Pros & Cons: Flagship under Mid-Range

Review of Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) at a Glance:-

Last Years Best Android Smartphone Galaxy S7 is reincarnated now in the form of Galaxy A7 2017, This mid-range smartphone is launched with many eye-catching features and here we have enlisted some major advantages and disadvantages. The key features this phone is offering are 5.7 inches Full HD display, Android v6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS, Exynos 7880 Octa Processor, 16 MP Primary | 16 MP Secondary Camera, 32 GB ROM | 256 GB SD Card support, 3 GB RAM, 3600 mAh battery.

An Evolved Classy Design
The Good News is Samsung now evolving its traditional design in many Smartphones. It comes with an all metal mid-frame fixed between two layers of glass where 3D curved glass on rear side and 2.5D glass towards the front side. The combination of Aluminium and Glass made it looks like a ultra-premium smartphone. However it also making phone incredibly slippery, fingerprint magnet and prone to easy accidental breakage. When it comes to functional keys and slots the volume buttons are located on the left and single speaker grille along with power button are located on the right. The odd location of speaker gets easily blocked while watching videos or playing games in landscape mode. Bottom of the smartphone housing USB Type-C Slot and 3.5mm audio jack.

Clarity of AMOLED Full HD
The 5.7 inches Super AMOLED display comes with excellent vivid vibrant colors, very balanced contrast, and deep inky blacks. Although Samsung checked its display resolution at 1080p. I think there will be rarely any person who comes with a complaint about the display visual quality. In this phone maximum brightness can go up to the 533 nits that is quite impressive, means there is no problem in using the phone even in bright daylight conditions. This handset also supports premium phone reserved "Always-on Display" feature where all the notification will be shown in the display in monochrome. Its display is less prone to accidental scratches as it has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Powerful Camera: Both the Sides
This is really a great thing when you can take well-detailed photos from 16 MP primary as well as 16 MP secondary camera where both the camera has an aperture of f/1.9, the photo taken from the primary shooter is quite matching to natural colour without any artificial effects or oversaturation. Although the Camera is not spectacular as we expected, it is just slightly above average. Image quality is pleasant enough with good details about the subject. However, the absence of OIS clearly felt, we are little disappointed that Samsung was offering OIS in the A7 model of 2016 but in this newer model they removed it. We are also expecting 4K recording in this model offered at the price more than ₹ 30K. When it comes to 16 MP front camera it is pretty awesome for taking the selfies, although it doesn't have AF but still the photos come out are well formed.

Good Performer- But Not Enough
The performance of Smartphone is controlled by the Samsungs own chipset Exynos 7880 based on the 14nm technology which looks like competing with Snapdragon 625. thing that makes us disappointed is that overall performance by the configuration of 1.9 GHz Cortex-A53 octa-core processor with 3 GB RAM nearly equal about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 which is around 3 times cheaper, we know this is just like comparing Apple with Orange but it matters when you are spending your hard earned dollars in something that must satisfy your needs. In real word performance phone doesn't show any kind of major glitches, but when the heavy graphical games played on the device in highest setting the frame drops are noticeable to some extent. Although day to day tasks even multitasking is quite fluid most of the time.

Decent Battery Backup
It has a Non-removable 3600 mAh battery which is 300 mAh more than last year's Galaxy A7 2016, as according to the claim of company it can offer Talktime Up to 23 hours over the 3G network which is quite impressive considering its size. The handset has total endurance rating of 115 hours. Means it is clearly providing a sufficient amount of battery backup which can stand for a full day.

Why to buy and Final words about Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017):-

Samsung tried to fill most of the last year's flagship features in "A" series Mid-range smartphone, but even after this fair attempt few things lack in this phone, however, It has a stunning and glamorous 3D Glass design, Sharp and Vivid FHD Display, Water & Dust resistant body and a battery with high endurance. on other hands, Performance is decent enough if you are not filling this mobile with multiple heavy games and apps. Still, the phone looks slightly overpriced because there are already high-end phones in the market with a better configuration like OnePlus 3T, Moto M and Xiaomi Mi 6
Price- 33400 INR
