Review of Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) at a Glance:-As claimed by Samsung the Galaxy J2 was the one of the highest selling smartphone in 2015, now in 2016 they released the Successor of this handset Galaxy J2 (2016). Samsung improved J2 in lots of areas from the J2 (2015 series) like display size, battery capacity etc. The new handset is configured with v6.1 (Marshmallow) OS, 5.0 inches Super AMOLED display, 8MP | 5 MP camera, 8 GB ROM, 128 GB SD support, 1.5 GB RAM and 2600 mAh battery.
The first thing everyone is going to observe is design, that is Similar to previous Galaxy series but there are lots of modification in rear side where they have fixed a Smart Glow notification ring around the Camera, which (According to Samsung) is better alternate to the LED Notification and adding cool effect in design, but I think they didn’t research well that hardly people keep there smartphone upside-down in the surface. However the large smart glow ring is customizable with RGB colours, and some people may like its large size and some not. The Samsung Logo Text is fixed in rear side on lined strip. The design is alright as according to budget but the counterpart devices (Especially Chinese handset) are providing quite premium metallic body design in same price. In this phone micro USB port at the bottom, a headphone jack at the top, volume rockers on left and power buttons on the right side.
Now we have 0.3 inches larger display as compare to previous J2, It has 5.0 inches Super AMOLED HD display with 294ppi. The display is pleasant and have clear vibrant graphics. The sunlight visibility is quite sufficient however in display department we are missing only one thing that is special protection for the display.
Samsung Galaxy J2 (16) offering 8MP primary and 5MP secondary camera, both the camera are quite mediocre, daylight photographs are good enough to upload in social media but as lightning goes down the grainy effect in pictures increases and photos become lifeless. Same is applied for the front camera, which is performing average in sufficient light.
It will be not fair to expecting a high experience from an entry level smartphone, which is loaded with 1.5 GHz Spreadtrum processor, 1.5 GB RAM and 8GB ROM, although Turbo Speed Technology (TST) feature is welcomed in phone helping in closing unnecessary apps in real time. But problem is Only 2.8 GB available memory for user, which is clearly insufficient for todays world. Meanwhile its fine for people using just couples of app.
Battery is one of the most important aspect of a smartphone, here it has 2600 mAh battery offering nearly 4 hours Screen on time (SOT), for a mediocre user it is enough for running a phone for one full day.

Why to buy and Final words about Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016)Samsung is trying to impress the customer indifferently under budget, they are adding features like S-Bike, Turbo Speed Technology, Smart Glow etc. All the Samsung budget phones are good only for a specific group of people; which are not a intense smartphone user for heavy task or amateur phone photographer. This is decent choice for person using smartphone for calling purpose and uses limited apps. Although it is also good as a secondary device. For same price group you can also go for Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 and Huawei Honor 5C.
