Review of Motorola Moto G4 plus at a Glance:-Moto G from the day of first launch in 2013 was cherished Smartphone from the Motorola which is now owned by the Lenovo. Phone is launched with tightly packed specs under the affordable mid range segment. Now in 2016 Fourth generation of Moto G Plus launched with Spectacular specs like Latest Android v6.0.1 (Marshmallow), Snapdragon 617 Octa-core processor, 5.5 inches display, 16 MP & 5 MP Camera, 64 GB ROM with 128 GB External card support, 3/4 GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery.
Moto G4 Plus is retaining its typical Moto design with slight modification, in Motos previous handset there is second speaker below the screen but in Moto G4 Plus there is physical home button which is equipped with the Fingerprint sensor. There is metallic frame running all around the corners. And rear has a Plastic-cum- rubber surface which improve the gripping of phone. The power button and volume rockers are fixed on the right side of the phone, Top has 3.5 mm audio jack and bottom houses a USB cable slot. The SIM and SD card slot is located beside the battery which can be accessed after removing the back cover.
Smartphone has 5.5 inches IPS capacitive display, feels much vibrant and brighter that its predecessor. The Full HD display having 401ppi display is responsible for such improvement in display quality of Moto G series. Phone can be operated in the direct sunlight in full brightness, all the text and visual material is quite visible. As we know that Moto provides Waterproof phones but in Motorola Moto G4 Plus they kicked this feature and now this phone just have Water repellent nano-coating, it is also good to know that we have to worry less about the display as it is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
We found that the camera is a best feature that is improved a lot in Moto G4 Plus as compare to its predecessor. It has 16 MP primary camera equipped with PDAF which helps in quick Auto focus. This camera looks great daylight shooter with details of the scene, but it is struggling to take quality pictures in poor light where photos comes out noisy, although it is not so bad. The 5 MP front camera just good to taking selfies,
Moto G4 Plus is powered with the Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, which is clocked at 1.5 GHz. Snapdragon is one of the processor that runs smooth and effortless as we saw in hTC One A9. The gaming experience is quite good but in heavy gaming for long time it starts heating and sometime crashing to prevent overheating, although it is not an often case.
We are not fan of Power retention capacity of the 3000 mAh battery in Moto G4 Plus, it our opinion it is mediocre and capable to give 24 hours battery backup in medium use, Device supports TurboPower™ which can provide up to 6 hours of power in 15 minutes of charging.
