Oppo F1 Plus Review: Price, Specs, Pros and Cons

Review of Oppo F1 Plus at a Glance:-

Oppo is playing great in mid range Smartphone segment as it has huge success with OnePlus Smartphone. Now Oppo is marketing F1 Plus as one of best selfie Smartphone.  This handset has glorious design with semi-flagship features like 5.5 inches Full HD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 13 MP rear and 16 MP front camera, 2.0 GHz Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 Octa-core processor, 64 GB ROM, 128 GB External SD Card support, 4 GB RAM and 2850 mAh.
If you suddenly look at this device it looks like inspired from the iPhone design but when you observe it closely there are many modifications such as in form factor and bezels area which is narrow. The metallic body with golden colour looks premium as they have maintained a low weight of 145 grams with thickness of only 6.6 mm.  There is physical home button which has an integrated fingerprint sensor. Volume buttons are located in left side and power button on right, the 3.5mm audio jack, single speaker grille and USB slot is fixed in the bottom of the phone.

The display is other part of handset that deserve to praise as it is Full HD with 401 ppi of display density (although it is not like 4K/2K ) and the 5.5 inches AMOLED display makes contrast more deeper dark with balanced saturated colours. There is no problem in watching videos outdoor in sunlight, display also offering wide viewing angles. The screen is protected to scratches as it has Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
As it’s a mid range Smartphone and even company advertising this as camera centric handset but you can’t compare its camera with top flagship phones like Samsung Galaxy S7Apple iPhone 6S and Huawei Nexus 6P. 13 MP primary camera is just average although it can shoot pretty cool pictures in daylight, quick focus made it fast to shoot. Its secondary camera has better pixel sensor as it is 16 MP with larger aperture of size f/2.0; selfie quality is pretty good; ISOCELL technology reduces the interference between pixels and Beautify 4.0 camera bundle will highlight the best features of you while minimizing any unwanted flaws.
To control all the functioning there is Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor clocked in 2.0 GHz with Eight cores; it is not the best but definitely not going to disappoint you.  Processor is capable to run some heavy games and multitasking is quite smooth.
The power department disappoint us a little bit as it has 2850 mAh capacity which isn’t sufficient although it runs for nearly 13 hours in a video loop test. It also supports a rapid-charge technology created by OPPO Electronics, which, at present, is able to charge PPO device from 0 to 75% in just 30 minutes.

Why to buy and Final words about Oppo F1 Plus

This handset has great art in craftsmanship with narrow bezels and thin design. Somewhat it looks like inspired design from the iPhone 6S. Phone has mediocre CPU, huge 4 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM. This is not a great snapper although you will have a relatively far better front camera. Battery doesn’t seem enough although able to deliver the backup of one full day in moderate use. There are many competitors of this phone and the best one i.e. Xiaomi Mi 5 with some better features in same price group.
